Saying Goodbye

Today I went out to say goodbye to Poppy.  It was really hard.

On the Farm Calf Club Day

Today was our on the farm calf club day.  We went out to the farm nice and early to get Poppy ready for showing.  I got second in leading, third in dairy type and fourth in rearing.  It was a really great day.

Wash Day

This morning I gave Poppy a good wash before her show day on Sunday.  The shampoo smelled like bananas.  I had to dry her off to keep her warm.  She doesn't really like getting wet.

Loose Hair

We came out to the farm to give them a brush and a clean.  We hadn't seen them for a few days and were going away for the weekend.  When I took off her cover she was really really licking herself.  She always licks a lot when I take her cover off.  She wasn't very dirty today.  She had a lot of loose hair that I had to brush out.

Her Tongue

One day I was brushing Poppy and she started eating me!   I like it when she licks me!  I put my hand next to her tongue and her tongue was really really rough.  It feels like sandpaper.

Hanging Out

One day I was walking Poppy around when she went to the meal trough to get something to eat.   Patrick and I sat in the meal while they ate.   Poppy started licking my face a lot.   I didn't really like it.

Today Poppy wasn't very hard to catch, just like every day!  We washed her tail because it had poo all over it.  I took her for a walk around the grass paddock for the first time . Whenever we got to mud she stopped and Summer's Mum would help me to get her to move.  I got my foot stuck in the mud but I got it out before Summer's Mum had to help me out of the mud!   We walked around the paddock twice.  I bought her back into the pen.  We let her go with her cover on and her halter off.  Then she thought she was still tied up to a pole so she stayed close to us.  She moved once we left her.
